New feature in operating system for smart watches
"The watch has been designed and manufactured with the same passion and attention to detail as our mechanical watches. The quality of workmanship is paramount in everything we do, and we never compromise on aesthetics or emotion," said Fréderic Arnault, responsible strategy and digital area of the firm.
Google included the Wear OS operating system, designed for watches and wearables (technological devices that can be worn), to the new Connected smartwatch, a device that, among its benefits, provides detailed monitoring of sports sessions.
This digital solution will include a GPS and a heart rate monitor that will be incorporated into the watch, among other sensors, as well as specific features to meet the needs of exercise lovers, since it is waterproof and includes a rhythm detector cardiac.
Connectivity will have services such as Google Assistant, Pay or Translate, thanks to the fact that it incorporates a microphone. According to the search engine, the application has been renewed, supporting activities such as golf, running, cycling, walking, fitness and others that will be added in the future. The new model also features a stopwatch app, which can be operated with the push buttons and is millisecond accurate, as well as a custom timer, alarm and settings interface.
