Suburbia and Despegar announce a strategic alliance and introduce Suburbia Travel

Despegar and Suburbia, the Mexican department store chain, have unveiled a strategic partnership that will open up new opportunities for travel enthusiasts across the country starting this October.

This union is part of the "Rediscover Suburbia" campaign, through which the department store aims to offer more options to each customer, in addition to the retail offerings in its more than 169 stores. This combines the established reputation of Suburbia with the technology and third-party services of Despegar.

The Suburbia Travel portal will be operated by Despegar, providing a wide range of travel solutions, special hotel discounts, vacation packages, flight options, experiences, and traveler assistance services, among many other benefits.

"We are very pleased to have solidified this alliance with such a relevant business partner as Suburbia, which will allow us to share our technological solutions and industry knowledge, offering their customers the opportunity to acquire high-quality travel products with the backing of Despegar," commented Martín Modarelli, VP of B2B & New Ventures at the Despegar Group.
